"The District 51 Youth Advisory Council is one of the best ways for young people to develop the skills they need to fully take charge of their civic lives as they approach adulthood. From comprehending legislation to enhancing critical thinking about how the government distributes funding to relevant institutions, I’ve been inspired by this program to continue my journey in promoting civic action."

“I LOVED our bill debates- we got to look at actual bills and see how we can pass them. The budget was also nice because we got to advocate for organizations we’re passionate about and then the final budget debate was COOL everyone was talking and advocating and we all worked to split the money.”
